You can use either. We have found it is easier to see all of the pitcher's motion when the phone is used to film in landscape mode.
As long as it needs to be in order for you to explain and demonstrate the areas where you would like some feedback. 2 minutes is usually more than enough time. If you need more time to explain, you can send an additional video up to 2 minutes in length.
If it is your first Checkup, introduce yourself, tell us how old you are, how long you've been playing softball, and anything else you think we should know.
After that, explain to your Checkup coach what problem you are having. It could be a drill from the RecFirst Pitching Program, a specific pitch that you can’t seem to master, or a part of your mechanics that needs some fine-tuning.
Have a parent, sibling, or coach take a video from behind the pitcher AND from the pitcher’s ball-hand side while they are performing the motion/drill/pitch. You can take multiple videos and send them in the same text.
Our goal is to get you a response within 48 hours, if not sooner.
